For more than 20 years Gruden has supported the Australian Defence Force with smart sustainment services, delivering availability and reliability of critical services that enables our Defence Force to ‘shape, deter, respond’ and keep Australia safe.

Gruden has been the sustainment support provider to Defence for the Objective Enterprise Document Records Management System (EDRMS) – not only the Objective application support, but also the development and support of bespoke enhancements that meet specific Defence requirements. This includes over 60 current production applications.

Through our extensive history of successfully managing secure sovereign assets and services for Defence, we optimise the availability and readiness of our ADF, whilst reducing total cost of ownership and delivering value for money, every step of the way.

As a strategic partner of the Australian Defence Force, the delivery of critical services is core to what we do. Gruden provides a holistic sustainment support solution covering 2nd, 3rd, and 4th level production support, development, testing, training, and ITIL service management – supporting over 180,000 users on multiple independent networks, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Grudens innovative and bespoke solutions include:

  • A custom iPhone application that allows the Defence Archives business units to track and manage the locations of physical records in both the physical archives, and in Objective.
  • A web application developed to meet the requirement for users who add scanned documents into Objective to conform to a minimum set of image requirements set by the National Archives of Australia. The application provides additional validation of minimum data standards for scanned documents, and automatically extracts scanned document metadata, to populate into the document catalogue in Objective.
  • A solution that prevents users, and other systems, from adding documents within Objective that do not comply with the Australian Government Security Classification Scheme and ensures that only documents that are at, or below the security classification of the Objective application they are using, can be added or updated.
  • Multiple custom workflows that support individual and whole of Defence business processes. This includes a single virtual delivery model for Pay and Personnel Administration through the Defence Pay Administration Centre. The benefits delivered include streamlined processes, consolidated transaction processing and increased automation.
